Our Mission & Values

I first discovered group cubing in Elementary school. I was mediocre, but I loved how the team format brought people together around a shared passion. I was the only girl on my team, but the collaborative nature of the competition made me feel like I belonged. When the Super STEM Saturday 3x3x3 Group Cubing Competition shut down, I realized how much it had meant to me and countless other students who found community in this unique blend of individual skill and teamwork.

As a high school freshman, I set out to revive it. Over the years, I've watched it grow: from a muddy lawn with 16 participants to a full ballroom with 64 competitors and 8K+ spectators, from a handful of local schools to teams traveling overnight to compete, from being the only girl to seeing nearly 50% female participation.

This competition is about creating space for students who might not be the best individually but thrive in a team environment. It's about proving that competitive STEM can be both rigorous and welcoming. Every year, when I see new faces light up during their first mosaic activity or watch a team celebrate together after a tough round, I'm reminded why I fought to bring this back.
